ABOUT
AFTER STRINGING FOR NEWSPAPERS IN LOS ANGELES,
I MOVED INTO ADVERTISING AND NEVER LOOKED BACK

Since then, I’ve partnered with scores of talented individuals
across the country to help clients communicate with target audiences in ways that reinforce both the brand and the bottom line.
In addition, I've worked with government agencies, most
notably as a board member for the California State Information Officers Council. There, I collaborated with the Governor's office,
the legislature, and subject-matter experts to offer networking opportunities and continuing education to members.
I’ve used my conceptual and strategic abilities for
more whimsical pursuits, as well. I possess a Master of Fine
Arts degree in fiction from Columbia College, Chicago; wrote
novels for Random House and Thomson Gale; and published
award-winning short fiction alongside such authors as
Stephen King, Karin Slaughter, Lee Child, and Irvine Welsh.
I've worked in Hollywood on and off over the years—first,
as an SFX pyrotechnician, and then, much later, as a
writer, developing material for Columbia Pictures,
Universal Pictures, and Suzanne DeLaurentiis Productions.
Put simply: My brand and strategic sensibilities, along
with my narrative skills, are applicable to everything from
advertising campaigns to political campaigns, and have helped
win clients, meet stated goals, and open minds.
